the kellert's: being in love.

i met this sweet couple at the horse show grounds in warrenton, which happens to be conveniently located basically in their backyard. it was a beautiful place. we walked and talked and i was constantly impressed by their love for each other. they have been married four years and they have the chemistry of a couple that just fell in love, but with the comfort of having known each other for years. they are awesome.

the clarkson family.

i met up with this great family at meadowlark botanical gardens - i haven't been since the summer and a lot of the flowers are gone, but with the changing leaves, it is still so beautiful. baby natalie is ridiculously cute! she is always smiling and you can tell she's just excited to be alive! i loved being around her, all of her expressions cracked me up. here are some of my favorites.

the rock family!

the location of our shoot was TBD the whole time we planned to meet. a couple days before, elizabeth emailed me and said she drove by this beautiful place in landsdowne and wanted to do it there. i'm so glad she found it! it was perfect for the kids to play, the light was divine even at 10AM and the leaves on all the trees were amazing. plus, they were the sweetest family. the kids were happy and you could tell they felt comforted by each other which was the cutest thing. i love watching brothers and sisters together and i always admire parents with more than one child... the way that they make them feel so unique and special even though there isn't just one. it was great meeting you all! here are some of my favorites...

the coletta family!

i met this family in old town alexandria. i LOVE that place. this family was so sweet. so in love, so down to earth, and it was all mirrored in their sweet little girl. i loved spending time with them walking around and exploring different parts of old town and dreaming about living there. :) here are some of my favorites...

i love charlie!

i met this family when charlie was only 10 weeks old. i can't believe how much he's grown since then. he is SUCH a happy boy! the second i smiled at him he smiled back at me and didn't stop the whole time. i know i said it the first time i met them, but i really adore this family. they are one of those families that i just click with. no awkwardness, no rush, no forced smiles. they just live their life in front of my camera for a brief time and i think we all enjoy it. it was so great getting you see you all again and i can't wait for next time. :)
