lindsay & grant: engagement session.

the last time i saw lindsay she was making a speech at graudation. she was the valedictorian of our high school class and i remember being so impressed by her. we didn't know each other personally but as i sat there at graduation, i remember that her speech made me think. and laugh. she made an impression on me. years later, i met up with her to take photos of her and her fiance. they were so cute. she was the same blonde bright eyed beautiful girl i remember and he was charming, gentle, funny, and in love with her. she met him in london through a mutual friend and now they are getting married. i love stories like that! he is from australia and they both live there now (lucky) and are loving it. they were here visiting family and i'm so glad i got the opportunity to take some photos for them while they were back. here are some of my favorites...

christine & kyle: happy love!

this wasn't the first time christine and i had a photo shoot. last time though, we were in middle school with too much eyeliner on trying to push together our non-existent boobs. this time, a few years (makes me feel old thinking about it) have passed and we have remained just as close as that day in middle school. what's even better is that kyle has known christine through all of that too, and they've been great friends since they were kids. there's something special about love that's been sustained over years when everything is changing. when people are trying to figure out who they are and what they're doing, through many many good times, and big ups and downs, they've always been friends. years ago (again, we're old) kyle and christine started dating. i've always been a big fan of their relationship. i know he loves her to death, i mean he REALLY adores her - and he brings out the best in her. she admires his mind and the way their personalities strike a balance. it's perfect really. you can't help but know they're meant for each other. now they're engaged & i know their wedding will be just a symbol of what an awesome marriage they'll have. i love you both!

christy & zac: engaged!

in october, one of my dearest friends in the world is going to get married to a guy who deserves her! i am very excited about this. christy and zac are one of my favorite couples ever and i am so honored to be able to stand by them when they take their vows. we met up at lake ritchie, where they have their first memories of falling in love. of being in high school and fishing and sitting in the back of zac's truck and talking. their love has been built over the years that i've known them. they nurture it with their mutual respect and admiration. i love the way christy admires zac for the man that she's been able to watch him become, and i love the way that he adores her, every part of her. their love is unconditional and awesome and i have no doubt that they will spend the rest of their lives together. i just love you guys!!
