courtney, marc, amelia, & addison: family session.

i am a little bit, okay maybe a lot a bit, in love with this family. courtney is a photographer too and takes some really sweet pictures. we have chatted a lot on facebook but when i met her i felt like i made an instant friend. she's my kind of girl and this family was too sweet for words. so, courtney and i came up with this genius idea to photograph their family in downtown leesburg. we thought it'd be fun with all the walls and antiques and color and texture and our photographic minds went crazy with ideas, all the while forgetting that addison is about 18 months old and is far more interested in trying to run into the street than pose in front of our sweet backdrops. so we let go of that dream and we met up at ida lee park, and might have chatted our way right through dinner time (sorry kids...) and amelia exclaimed, "i am so hungry i could eat that WHOLE GARDEN." when we laughed, she was like "no, I'M SERIOUS!" so we ended up cutting the session a little short and so this one will be a "to be continued..." the bond between this family was so strong. i've never seen a sweeter mother daughter relationship. these kids are awesome and it's a true reflection of their amazing parents.

photo shoots might not be addison's favorite thing, but i thought this was hilarious.

amelia on the other hand, was full of ideas. she would shape shift and pose in the cutest little ways, squealing, "try this one!"

i love her little face. this little one and my daughter are almost the same exact age so i have a special soft place in my heart for her.

i couldn't get over how cute courtney and her oldest are together. they had this admiration for each other that was uncanny. you could tell amelia felt completely free to be herself and their relationship was so authentic and close. it was like they were best friends, but there was so much respect and i just loved how you can tell that amelia really looks up to her mom and courtney just loves her so unconditionally and purely. i love seeing that.

carson: one year old!

i met this little man early in the morning, at prime happy baby time. he was so fun to be around, so full of energy, and so determined. his expressions were priceless. his sweet parents wanted some photos of him being a one year old and just being him. we wandered around the outside of their beautiful home and i was his paparazzi for a little bit.

this is why i love bath time.

bath time is jesse's thing. it's his special time with zoe and sometimes i sneak in there to witness first hand all the cute things he says she does in there. tonight he's working late and i got to give her a bath! it was a treat.

whoa, we were all good until you dumped water on my head.

okay, i'm over it! and back to being perfectly, adorably, magically, amazingly cute!

ivy is 3 months old!

kristin is one of my favorite people. if you know her, she's probably one of yours too. it's no wonder that her daughter is so awesome. kristin came over and i got to take some photos of ivy, who just passed big three month mark! she is a DOLL. she is perfectly content to just sit and look around, and when she does "fuss" it is the cutest little sound i've ever heard come out of an unhappy baby's mouth. the other 99% of the time she is smiling, cooing, and just being super angelic. get ready to melt...
