bhagya & sunil: indian engagement ceremony.

first, i must say having a ceremony for engagement is such a cool idea! it made it so special and official and sacred. and more than just for the couple, it was a joining of families, and it was so so beautiful. it was rich with tradition and culture and ceremony and ritual and i enjoyed every single second of it. bhagya & sunil are a stunning couple and their love happened almost immediately. it shines through their eyes when they look at each other and they keep one another laughing all the time... i loved spending time with them and i was honored to be able to capture this special day. they got to share a few moments alone (well plus me and my camera) before the ceremony began. here are some of my favorites from the day...

during the ceremony, she received a new saree and he received a new shirt to symbolize their union. after the ceremony, we snuck back outside for a couple more photos of the two of them newly engaged :)

thank you all so much for having me be a part of your special day. it was so much fun andi thoroughly enjoyed my time with you and your families. i wish you both nothing but the best with your wedding in india and for your lives together!
